Hi! My name is Justin Schroeder and I am so excited to serve as your 2023-2024 Vice President of Communications! I am a senior at Appalachian State University, I am a human resource management and risk management insurance double major with a minor in employee benefits.
One of my main goals in life is to give back to my local community as much as I possibly can. In an attempt to reach that goal, I work within the Walker College of Business as a Walker Fellow, volunteering at our non-profit coffee shop Beans to Brew as the training and development coordinator, and within different organizations such as Student Government, Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Gamma Iota Sigma, and my personal favorite Future Business Leaders of America-Collegiate.
When I am not busy I enjoy having time to play with my new puppy Elizabeth, being out in nature hiking, and enjoying the occasion binge-series. FBLA – Collegiate has given me so many amazing opportunities and continues to let me improve my leadership and build new connections. I am excited to work alongside my fellow officers and create an exciting program of work for the year!
